NESPRESSO TALENTS CLUB X BERLINALE

"No talents, no trends!", Personal insights of young German film stars at the Nespresso Talents Club

At the 67th Berlinale, Nespresso invited to its first "Nespresso Talents Breakfast Club" with famous German film talents. I was lucky to be invited and to listen to Emilia Schüle, Tom Wlaschiha, Lea van Acken, Tim Oliver Schulz and Max Riemelt during a trendy breakfast at the Berlinale Rooftop Café by Nespresso, while they were discussing the challenges in the film sector and the importance of promoting talents in film. They shared their personal experiences with the film critic Peter Twiehaus & Yvonne Iwaniuk, responsible for global communication at Nespresso.

While the talks was going on the guests experienced a variety of really exceptional breakfast moments. Not only delicious Nespresso coffee was served, but also an impressive range of dishes such like avocado waffles, smoothie bowls and pumpkin pancakes (my favorite!)

For this special occasion & the first „Berlinale Rooftop Cafe by Nespresso“ the Social Media Stars from "Our Food Stories" developed in cooperation with Nespresso some very special breakfast creations. And since the vibrant city of Berlin promotes not only high-class film talents but also new pleasure-trend , this was a really great mix! (scroll down for a little surprise - especially for the German readers!)

Additionally Nespresso continued its sponsorship commitment & appeared as the official coffee partner of the Berlinale and co-partner of the Berlinale talentsAt over 70 locations, guests, talents and VIPs could enjoy the official coffee of the Berlinale exclusively from the incomparable variety of aromas of the Nespresso Grands Crus: The Berlinale Palace, the Berlinale VIP Club and the official Pressecenter were only some places where Espresso, Lungo and milk drinks were offered.

As I already said, in addition to all those great places where Nespresso offered its coffee, the exclusive Berlinale Rooftop Café by Nespresso opened for the first time its doors: Whether before, between or after the film highlights - on the 24th floor of the Kollhoff-Towers at Potsdamer Platz, Nespresso offered its visitors individually prepared creations & unique coffee moments.

Also Nespresso supportied the Berlinale as a co-partner for the second time as well as the promotion of young film talents and presented its international film competition "You Have The Power To ..." which has been for a long time a matter of heart and supports young talents continuously. The „Berlinale Talents“ brings an established platform of emerging directors, producers, actors and other film makers with professionals of the international film industry together. This commitment is supported by the international short film competition "Nespresso Talents 2017" - because only if you promote talents new trends will be imposed.
Therefore, Nespresso was calling for the second time international film talents to the short film competition „Nespresso Talents 2017 ". Under the motto "You Have The Power To ..." the contestants were asked to produce a 1 to 3 minute short film, showing a positive change of a life in it. Here the winner could rely on exclusive mentoring by film experts, an invitation to the Film festivals from Cannes and a cash prize worth 6.000 €. "With the competition, Nespresso turns to people who think differently & are ready to go a step further. Who wants to move borders & demonstrate creativity with what they are doing. That is why we are proud to focus on young talents and innovation.“- Alfonso Gonzalez, Nespresso's Chief Customer Officer. Find more information at nespresso.com/talents
