There are wines and there are very special wines. One of those very special wines for me is my all-time favorite: Mouton Cadet. And this year Mouton Cadet is the Official Wine of the 2018 Ryder Cup. Therefore I got the great opportunity to go to Paris & to be part of an amazing weekend at the Ryder Cup 2018 at the VIP Lounge of Mouton Cadet.
The alliance between Mouton Cadet & golf brings together two worlds which share the same values: an appreciation of give & take, technical skills, respect for tradition & modernity, elegance & conviviality. As I already mentioned, Mouton Cadet is the Official Wine of the 2018 Ryder Cup, which took place in September at the Golf National near Paris. What I learned at the Ryder Cup 2018, that really impressed me is the fact that Mouton Cadet wines are also served at the most prestigious golf competitions of the European Tour such as the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, near London, the Irish Open, the Scottish Open the French Open, the BMW International Open in Germany, the KLM Open, the Senior Open and the final round of the Race to Dubai, the DP World Tour Championship.
For the 2018 Ryder Cup, Mouton Cadet has even created a Limited Edition wine through the collaboration of American and French winemakers: Chiara Mondavi, the granddaughter of famed Californian wine producer Robert Mondavi, who first worked with Baron Philippe already in 1978, and Pierre Lambert, the master winemaker of Mouton Cadet.
The Limited Edition bottle by Mouton Cadet for the Ryder Cup 2018 features an innovative design, with a cloud of key words like respect, tradition, prestige, and teamwork, highlighting the similarities which link the world of wine to the world of golf.
The wines were unveiled on the 28th March at The Ritz in Paris. Philippe Sereys de Rothschild, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA, said that he was delighted that Mouton Cadet will be served as Official Wine at the 2018 Ryder Cup. Such a prestigious and well-known international golf competition is the perfect partner for Mouton Cadet, which has a world-wide reputation for high quality wines.
